A National Champion to the NFL
Jalen Hurts started his college career at the University of Alabama and finished it at the University of Oklahoma. He replaced Blake Bennett as the Crimson Tide's starting quarterback in the second game of his freshman year. He led the team to the SEC Championship, winning awards such as SEC Offensive Player of the Year and SEC Freshman of the year in the process. Alabama lost the National Championship Game to Clemson that year. Hurts went 13-1 the following season, leading Alabama to a National Championship. He was benched in the Championship Game, though, and lost his starting job for the following season to Tua Tagovailoa. After graduating in December 2018, he transferred to Oklahoma. There, he led the Sooners to a Big XII Championship and the playoffs, though the Sooners lost convincingly to LSU in the Peach Bowl. He was then drafted by the Philadelphia Eagles in the second round of the NFL draft and went 1-3 as a starting quarterback in his first NFL season.
