Lions Club Reflective Metal Sign
Why order this Reflective Metal Lions Club Sign?
Melvin Jones started Lions International in Chicago in 1917. The organization was - and is - oriented toward service. Today, the organization has over 46,000 local clubs and over 1.4 million members in more than 200 countries. The club's projects are oriented toward such things as children's health, early childhood education, and even disaster relief. The organization also has a youth component, Leos, that provides opportunities for young people to be involved.
This reflective metal sign for the club was manufactured by A. D. Joslin Mfg. Co. in Manistee, Michigan. This sign would have advertised the club. Signs of this type were often used and discarded, but this one remains in excellent condition. This peice weighs about five pounds and measures 25". The sign dates back to the 1950's and 1960's. Those were important times in American history. The nation fought in both the Korean and Vietnam Wars and landed men on the moon for the first time. This sign would be a great choice for anyone interested in pieces from the time period, as well as any Lions International member or person who wishes to honor the work of such a great organization.
Don't miss your chance to own this Reflective Metal Lions Club Sign.
