Dr. Pepper Popcorn Transparent Sign
Why add the Dr. Pepper Popcorn Transparent Sign to your collection?
This Dr. Pepper Popcorn Transparent Sign would be a great choice for your man cave, she shed or movie room decor! Soft drink collectibles are an exceedingly popular category of collectibles. There's nothing more nostalgic than drinking, say, an icy Dr. Pepper that puts you right back to sitting on your bike, outside of the local convenience store at age 12. These collectibles evoke that moment time and again as they grace the walls of your home. Dr. Pepper is American's oldest soft drink brand. The drink was first served in 1885 in Waco, TX by pharmacist Charles Alderton.
Dr. Pepper Popcorn Transparent Sign
This sign was made in 1965 by Stout Sign Co., St. Louis, MO. The sign was designed to be lit from behind and is made of transparent plastic. This piece would have been placed in a local mom-and-pop-shop, movie theater concessions area or bowling alley. The sign depicts the colorful Sixties Dr. Pepper cup filled with icy Dr. Pepper shown near a lovely, buttery bucket of popcorn. The sign is 14 inches tall and weighs about six ounces. When properly lit, this sign will take you back and make you want a Dr. Pepper and some popcorn.
Fantastic Condition Sign
There was a series of signs in the sixties that Dr. Pepper supplied to everyone who sold their product. These ubiquitous signs were heavily used and as a result are not often found in the exemplary condition of this example. This sign will be shipped with a Certificate of Authenticity.
