1920's Iroquois Beer Tip Tray Excellent

In stock
Iroquois Brewing Company was founded in 1842 and located between Hickory and Pratt Streets in Buffalo, NY.

This is a single sided tin lithograph tip tray with an attractive Indian graphic. These small 4.5” trays were used in bars and restaurants for waiters and waitresses to place the customers change at the end of the transaction. The brewery would supply the bar or restaurant owners these types of advertising items free of charge. It was a win-win for both parties. Typically these pieces are damaged as they were heavily used. Chas Shonk was one of the primary manufacturers of tin metal lithographs 100 years ago and the graphics on these pieces are stunning!
